San Jose State men’s water polo (8-10) will go against the University of the Pacific and open Golden Coast Conference play at the Chris Kjeldson Pool.
As the weather has been changing, everyone’s hoping for clear skies for a good competitive match.
The No. 10 Spartans will be going against the No. 7 Tigers in one of the most nationally claimed competitive conferences.
Spartan senior and goalkeeper Yahav Fire continues to make great waves and catch attention with his many saves. Fire has a current total of 181 saves in the season.
The last game against Pacific ended in a one point loss on Sep. 4, 2021.
Pacific freshman attacker Reuel D’Souza broke the 11-11 tie in the second overtime, leaving the Spartans with a 12-11 loss.
Look for Spartan senior Niels Hofmeijer to take the lead in the match as their best sprinter, as he had in previous matches. Hofmeijer has a .891 success rate as lead sprinter and aims to play hard against the Tigers UOP this weekend.
