San Jose State wide receiver Tre Walker is entering the transfer portal, the senior announced Sunday.
Walker leaves SJSU third all-time on the school’s receptions and receiving yards records. His 1,161 yards in 2019 was the sixth-highest single season total in school history.
Walker’s departure is a significant loss for the Mountain West champions, who will see quarterback Nick Starkel return to San Jose for an additional season. The receiver will be utilizing a new NCAA rule that allows athletes in 2021 to transfer with immediate eligibility at their new school.
Head coach Brent Brennan declined The Spear’s request for a comment on Walker’s transfer.
