San Jose state beach volleyball fell short at UC Davis, 3-2.
Just last month also against the Aggies, the Spartans were on the other side of the 3-2 outcome.
In a rainy rematch it came down to the seniors, Caitlin Bettenay and Kaitlynn Zdroik, but they fell to the Aggies’ No. 1 pair, costing the Spartans their second loss of the year.
Despite the defeat, the team is still off to its best start in program history at 8-2 in its first 10 games.
The next match for the Spartans is Sunday versus West Valley College in an exhibition.
