Recent social distancing restrictions in Santa Clara County from COVID-19 have forced the San Jose State men’s basketball team to move their Sunday home game against the University of Pacific to Stockton, SJSU announced Wednesday.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at the Provident Credit Union Event Center and will now be played at the Tigers’ Alex G. Spanos Center.
Health officials from Santa Clara County announced the county-wide contact sports restriction beginning Nov. 30 halting sports-related games and practices for at least three weeks.
This is the first time the Spartans will be playing at Pacific since Feb. 23, 2008.
Tip-off will begin at 3:00 p.m. PT on Sunday. Fans will be able to watch live via the WCC Network.
