San Jose State Women’s Swim and Dive finished 10th after completing their final day at the Mountain West Championship tournament.
While SJSU did not move up or down the team standings throughout the championship, a couple of Spartans had some standout performances.
During day three of the championship, sophomore Vilma Lindberg finished 11th in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:02.22.
The 400 freestyle relay team also finished ninth with a season-best time of 3:22.96.
Day four of the championship saw more Spartans put up impressive performances.
Lindberg set back-to-back top-15 finishes with her 200m breaststroke time of 2:15.92 which allowed her to finish 12th.
The 400 freestyle relay team consisting of sophomore Quincy Key, graduate student Hailey Grotte, sophomore Mya Azzopardi and freshman Kiera Vail finished ninth with a season-best time of 3:22.96.
This was the first of two more championship tournaments the Spartans will participate in as they will next take part in the CSCAA National Invitational Championships between March 13-15 at the FAST facility in Ocala Florida.
