San Jose State women’s basketball (4-22, 1-14 MW) will be playing the Air Force Falcons (15-11, 9-6 MW) Wednesday in San Jose.

The Spartans are coming back from Las Vegas after a gruesome sweep against the UNLV Rebels,104-63.

SJSU star senior forward Cyndi Lewis led the team with 15 points and six rebounds. Lewis also achieved her 300th point of the season after her first score of the night, she now has 989 total career points.

Junior guard Ella Ogier had 14 points and senior forward Deja Ross ended the night with 10 points.

The Spartans are currently on a six-game losing streak and will be hoping to break it during Wednesday’s game against the Falcons.

Air Force just defeated the Utah State Aggies, 67-56.

SJSU will need to keep up with AF senior guard Cierra Winters as she jump-started the Falcons’ success against the Aggies. Winters had 13 points and five steals.

Senior forward Riley Snyder is also a force to be reckoned with as she ended the night with 17 points for the Falcons, 15 of those coming strictly from the second half. Snyder also had six rebounds and three assists as well.

The game will boil down to which team will have efficient offense as both teams are dominating in terms of defense. If minor mistakes continue to be made by the Spartans, the Falcons will find themselves using this as an advantage to take the lead and run.

SJSU will be going head-to-head with AF Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. in the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
